The Safe & Sound Collective is a 5-session, small-group experience designed for high-functioning adults who look “fine” on the outside but feel overstimulated or exhausted on the inside. This group supports a calmer nervous system and more capacity for daily life and relationships.
Group SSP can be a powerful option for those seeking support with regulation, reactivity, overwhelm, or shutdown—while benefiting from the relational safety of a guided group container.
Participants often experience:
Feeling less on edge or overstimulated
Quicker recovery from stress and emotional intensity
Reduced sensitivity to sound, conflict, and environmental stress
More emotional steadiness and energy
A greater sense of ease in daily life and relationships.
It is a professionally facilitated nervous system process led by Certified SSP practitioner, Kendall Carriere.

Location: Live via Zoom (link provided after registration)
What You’ll Need for Sessions
A private, quiet space where you feel comfortable sitting or lying down. Some clients like to make a nest of pillows and blankets.
Over-the-Ear Headphones with Noise Cancellation (required for SSP listening). I recommend these $17 pair.
A stable internet connection
iPhone or Android to download the SSP App
Optional notebook for writing down thoughts in session
You do not need prior experience with SSP or any special equipment beyond headphones.
Between Sessions
Participants will be invited to complete SSP listening between sessions. Clear guidance on pacing and safety will be provided.
Missed Sessions
Because this is a live, relational group, sessions are not recorded. If you miss a session, you’ll receive brief guidance on how to stay oriented for the following week.
Support During the Group
This group includes professional guidance during sessions. Individual support outside sessions is limited to maintain the integrity of the group container. Individual SSP sessions are available separately if additional support is needed.
Schedule
-
Once you enroll, you’ll receive a short onboarding sequence designed to help you feel oriented and prepared before the group begins.
Before our first session, you’ll receive:
A brief intake form and consent documents
A few simple assessments to establish baseline nervous system markers
Access to the Safe and Sound Protocol app, valid for 4 months
Clear instructions on what to expect and how to prepare
These steps help us establish a baseline and ensure the group begins safely and smoothly.
-
Session 1: Orientation, Safety & First Listening
This session is focused on grounding, understanding, and setup.
You’ll:
Learn about the autonomic ladder and how to recognize your own nervous system states
Begin developing language for what regulation and dysregulation feel like for you
Set up SSP technology together to ensure everything is working correctly
Review pacing and safety guidelines
Complete your first guided SSP listening experience
This session is designed to help you feel confident, oriented, and supported from the start.
-
Sessions 2–5: Guided Listening, Small Group Discussion & Integration
After Session 1, each session follows the same supportive and predictable structure.
In each session, you can expect:
A brief check-in to help you orient to your nervous system state
Small group discussion to reflect on what you’re noticing and to normalize common experiences
A guided SSP listening period with professional pacing support
Across these sessions, we’ll focus on helping your nervous system settle gradually and safely, while increasing your ability to notice and respond to shifts in regulation.

In Session 5, we’ll spend additional time reflecting on:
What you’ve noticed throughout the process
How your nervous system responds to SSP
How to use the protocol going forward in a way that supports ongoing regulation
An important reminder: there is no “behind” in SSP.
There is no benefit to pushing or rushing the process. While it is possible to go too fast, going slowly is always supportive. -
Access Beyond the Group
After our final session and beyond, you’ll continue to have access to the Safe and Sound Protocol app for a total of four months from the time your license is activated.
This allows you to continue listening at a pace that supports your nervous system, revisit the protocol as needed, and integrate what you’ve learned from the group without feeling rushed.
You’re welcome to continue using the tools after the Collective ends, following the pacing and guidance discussed in the group.
